How We Select Our Links

The ARCH partners (health professions faculty and staff from Case Western Reserve University ) assess the information linked to on ARCH for overall quality according to the following evaluation criteria:

Accuracy-

•  Information is up to date.

•  Information is from a credible source.

•  Websites without advertisements will be selected if at all possible.

•  Websites clearly stating that they subscribe to the HONCode principles of the Health On the Net Foundation (link to HON) are favored over those that don't.

Usefulness-

•  Content is relevant.

•  Content is easy to understand by people of various reading levels.

•  Websites with materials helpful to special populations such as non-English speakers and adolescents are of special importance.

Design-

•  Layout and formatting of pages are simple and direct.

•  Important information is easily accessible on the web page or within the site.

Arch partners periodically review sites we link to assure the accuracy of links and the fulfillment of our criteria. Please note that in certain cases, websites meeting all the above criteria were not available; in such cases, websites that best matched the above criteria was chosen.
